85cm Mast

The profile of the Cabron UHM SWITCH mast has been optimized for minimum drag, measuring 14mm at the bottom of the mast. Its construction provides perfect torsional and flexural rigidity for perfect transmission between the board and the foil. It was developed in partnership with offshore racing and America’s Cup engineers. The 85cm measurement is perfect for the majority of wing freeride and freestyle riders, offering sufficient length for choppy water.

The design of the SWITCH front wings

Versatile, the wing has excellent lift thanks to a pronounced volume at the center of the wing, allowing it to be effective in a wide range of wind conditions. Pumping is excellent, and the glide is impressive. The high aspect ratio of the foil allows it to continue gliding even during changes of direction, facilitating maneuvers.

Finishing at the tips is refined, maximizing carves without the risk of stalling. Design: different layers of carbon fabric (bi and unidirectional) to optimize the stiffness, weight, and robustness of the foil. Assembly is done with Taaroa’s universal system: 3 offset M8 screws for perfect support, ensuring durability and easy assembly and disassembly.

How to Choose Your Foil? (Size in cm²)

– 800 cm²: For confirmed to expert riders weighing 70 to 85kg looking for a playful, fast, and very maneuverable wing for medium to strong wind.

– 1200 cm²: for confirmed riders weighing 65 to 95 kg. It is the most versatile wing in our range.

– 1700 cm²: for users over 85 kg. It is the most powerful wing in the range, allowing you to fly at very low speed in very light wind.

The Stabilizer

The SWITCH 230 stabilizer offers effective lift at very low speed and during pumping, further expanding the low-end navigation range. Thanks to its geometry, the SWITCH 230 releases the foil during turns, allowing for ideal positioning during maneuvers or surfing.

Fixation rests on a concave area of the fuselage: you can adjust the inclination to regulate the foil’s power.

Tips for the Stabilizer

In the centered position, the foil is balanced for 50/50 support under both feet. If you move the stabilizer forward, support under the front foot is reduced, and the foil will be less powerful. If you move the stabilizer backward, the foil’s power and support under the front foot are increased, which is interesting for advanced riders seeking good lift for light wind or jumps.

Fuselage 62cm

Made of tempered, machined, and anodized aluminum for maximum strength and durability. Threaded inserts (replaceable) in insulated stainless steel using insulating grease between materials to reduce the risk of corrosion. Mast/fuselage assembly is conical to never have played in your foil.
